WBTC Deposits and Redeems

For the general audience it is possible to get strBTC via WBTC deposit.

Stroom users can deposit wBTC and receive strBTC via a converter contract that performs the wBTC <-> strBTC conversion on-chain.

How to Stake wBTC?

1. Visit the Stroom app - https://app.stroom.network/

2. Connect an EVM wallet

3. Navigate to the Stake tab

4. Specify the amount of wBTC you want to stake into strBTC

5. Click the Stake button and confirm the transaction in the wallet

6. Once it’s confirmed on the Ethereum blockchain, strBTC will appear in your wallet

7. Also, your strBTC balance is shown next to your wallet address at the top right corner of the screen

For participating in the Stroom mainnet, you will be incentivized with points, which make you eligible for certain benefits that will be announced later. Please visit the Stroom Mainnet Point Program page to check the point calculation and accrual terms.

Note that the conversion operation is subject to fees that are paid to the partner market maker for converting wBTC to native BTC for utilization in the Lightning Network Yield generation strategy.
